To help meet the demand for a number of upcoming projects, The Mega Super Awesome Visuals Company is hiring. The roles will be to assist in the design and development of interactive installations, live visuals, realtime visualizations, mobile applications and much more; see http://www.msavisuals.com/ for an idea of past projects. 

Required skills:

Creative developer / Interaction Designer

  • object oriented programming. Ideally with C/C++ (could be openFrameworks, not essential). Java, Processing, ActionScript 3 can also be considered.
  • computer vision & image processing. Could be using OpenCV, though not essential.
  • graphics programming, OpenGL, shaders etc.
  • electronics, circuit bending, hacking, tinkering, microcontroller programming etc.
  • audio design & programming, Max MSP / PureData etc.
  • scripting and web development, PHP, MySQL, Python, Drupal etc.

 

Animator / Motion Graphics Artist 

  • Graphic design: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.
  • Motion graphics: After Effects, Motion etc.
  • 3D Modelling & Animation: Cinema 4D, 3DSMax, Maya etc.
  • Video Editing: Final Cut

 

 

The candidate is not expected to be a master in all of the above. A weighted balance is ideal. Most importantly you must...

  • be a quick learner. Able to keep up with ever changing technology and stay on the fore front of innovation. If you do not know a particular piece of software / device / API / language, and if a project requires it, you will tackle it and master it on the job.
  • be dedicated to detail. Not content with delivering 'sufficient', you pride yourself in fine-tuning, carving and polishing, you strive to deliver 'perfect'.
